Our Leadership Team

Garden International School is an inclusive and diverse school with over 70 years of experience in delivering a world class education to the local and international communities in KL. Our aim is to partner with families to support each child to flourish. We offer outstanding holistic learning for students from 65 different nationalities and a wide range of academic backgrounds and abilities. We consistently achieve some of the finest academic results in the region and we are most proud of our ‘value-added’ results which reflect outstanding progress across all age ranges.

At GIS we are all learners and this is the foundation of our success. Our whole-school learning culture is centred around outstanding teachers doing outstanding work with our students both in and outside the classroom. This work is continually developed through our collective commitment to ongoing professional learning for all members of our community. As well as supporting our students to achieve success in all areas of school life, we offer our parents weekly workshops covering a wide range of topics and other exciting learning opportunities throughout each academic year.

Our extensive CCA programme, one of the largest in the region, coupled with our focus on service learning, camps and trips ensures that every GIS student has plentiful opportunities to flourish outside of the classroom. Our CCA programme offers both breadth and depth in sports, music and the creative and performing arts whilst also providing a multitude of other enrichment opportunities to cater for all interests and passions. We are also committed to our local and global community and we believe we have a responsibility to support sustainability and help those less privileged through genuine, sustainable service opportunities. Through community initiated and student-led action projects in both Primary and Secondary, with regular school charity events, our whole community strives to make a difference to those in need.

At GIS, we believe in the concept of well-being and building a sense of belonging: we understand that children will not fully flourish unless they are happy, supported and build social and emotional skills that will serve them now and into their futures. At GIS success is more than just good grades, though a focus on knowing each child, supporting them to build relationships and find connection with others, we are aiming to prepare students for life beyond school. Our care coupled with outstanding teaching and academic mentoring at GIS ensures every child has the opportunity to flourish.
