TEACHING & LEARNING
Primary Curriculum
Focused on celebrating diversity, valuing uniqueness and supporting students to become the best version of themselves, the GIS primary curriculum is at the heart of our school’s purpose and core values.
At GIS we recognise that improving educational outcomes is the biggest way we can positively impact our students’ futures, and by developing students to be reflective, lifelong learners, they will learn the skills to be successful in a future which is yet to be determined. Thus, we aspire to have a curriculum that is ‘future proof’. This means preparing our young people for a rapidly changing world by providing a holistic and personalised curriculum which instills in them a global perspective.
Our curriculum reflects our motto, ‘We are GIS’, as we know that students learn best when they feel valued and supported. Social Emotional and Intercultural learning form the bedrock of the GIS curriculum so that we can ensure that every student, parent and staff member experience a strong sense of belonging and feel valued as a member of the vibrant GIS community.

key stage 2
Year 3 – 6 (Ages 7 – 11)
Our Key Stage 2 (Years 3 - 6) programme offers an innovative international British curriculum, which aim to ensure that solid foundations are laid for the future success of our children, whilst allowing them plenty of space to explore and develop their passions and interests.
